Words you will hear in a demo
- Challan
- The fee voucher or invoice a family pays, at the school counter or the bank.
- Fee particular
- A single fee head such as tuition, transport, exam or admission fee.
- Fee plan
- The set of particulars and amounts charged to a class or student, month by month.
- Arrears / baqaya
- Unpaid balance from earlier months carried onto the next challan.
- Consumer number
- The number printed on a voucher that a bank uses to look up and pay it.
- Award list
- The marks sheet for one exam, class and subject.
- Date sheet
- The exam timetable.
- Roll number slip
- The exam admit slip showing roll number and hall.
- Session
- The academic session or batch label on a student record.
- Campus
- One branch of a school; multi-campus schools manage all branches in one account.
- Section
- A division of a class, for example 5-A.
- PTM
- Parent-teacher meeting.
- House
- A student grouping used for sports and school events.
- Requisition
- A request for money to make a school purchase, approved and settled with the bill.
- GL
- General ledger, the school's book of accounts.
- Institute code
- The short code that identifies a school when staff sign in.
- OTP
- One-time password: the login code sent to a parent's phone.
